Behind the Design

Hi, I'm Daniele, a Senior Product Designer and Frontend Developer based in Rome.

I've spent the last ten years doing something most designers and developers keep separate: I design products and then I build them. Not because I had to, but because I found that the two things make each other better. When I design, I already know how it will be built. When I build, I still think about the experience. That's what removes the handoff, the translation loss, the gap between what was designed and what ships.

I didn't get here in a straight line. I started with an aeronautical diploma, moved into forestry science, then found my way into digital design by founding ByTek in 2014. Looking back, that path made sense: each step trained a different way of looking at systems, constraints, and balance. In 2017 I completed a Master's in UI Design at Tag Innovation School, which gave me the formal foundation. The rest came from a decade of real projects.

Outside of work I'm into climbing, running, scouting, and spending time outdoors with my two Maremma sheepdogs. I take craft beer seriously and Christmas not at all.
