Behind the Design

Hi, I'm Daniele, a Product Designer and Frontend Developer based in Rome, ten years in. I do both, and that's exactly the point: you can bring me in for design, for frontend, or for both. The two sides feed each other, but they don't come as a forced bundle. When I design, I already know how it gets built; when I work with developers, I speak their language.

I didn't get here in a straight line. Aeronautical school, then forestry science, then digital design. The formal foundation came in 2017 with a Master's in UI Design at TAG Innovation School; the rest came from ten years of real projects.

I spent most of that decade inside a company that started as a digital agency and grew into a product company, so I worked both sides from the inside. The agency years meant shipping for a range of different clients, briefs, and constraints. The product years meant owning design and frontend for a single product alongside a structured team. The two kinds of teams I work with today, studios building for their clients and teams building their own product, are the two environments I came up in.

Outside work I climb, run, and spend time outdoors with my two Maremma sheepdogs. Scouting taught me to take responsibility early and figure things out with whatever's around, a habit that never left. I take craft beer seriously and Christmas not at all.
